The Sardinia Bike Tour Guide is responsible for leading cycling tours to the picturesque villages and towns of this beautiful island. This job requires a passion for the area, a knowledge of the culture, and an ability to lead groups of cyclists on sustainable trips that are both educational and enjoyable.
This is a temporary and seasonal position that will take place in summers. This role requires the candidate to have experience as a bike tour guide. You will be planning and leading tours for cyclists visiting the island of Sardinia. The guide will work with the bike tour company to provide the best possible experience in a safe, enjoyable and memorable way.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate cycling tour itineraries
- Be able to speak English and Italian fluently
- Lead groups of cyclists on sustainable trips
- Provide educational guidance about the area and culture
- Provide information on all aspects of cycling in Sardinia
- Ensure that all participants have a safe and enjoyable experience
- Ensure that all riders are equipped with bicycle rental, helmet rental and bike box rentals
- Prepare daily route maps in advance
- Provide accurate information about travel distances, lodging, etc.
- Plan routes based on rider requests for the private tours
- Coordinate with local authorities to ensure safety of riders
